French Louis XVI Carved Marble Fireplace in Carrara Marble

A French-style Louis XVI fireplace surround crafted from Carrara marble. 

The frieze is flanked by finely carved foliate paterae. The paterae endblocks have acanthus forms and rest on flat, stop fluted jambs, which in turn rest on plain footblocks.

The surround has been gently restored in-house, a repair to the centre of the frieze can be seen in the images.
