Antique Late Carrara Marble Fireplace Surround

An original late early Victorian chimneypiece crafted from Italian Carrara marble.

The simple crossover form, with the lintel running cleanly across both jambs, is typical of the Georgian period and gives the piece a restrained architectural elegance.

Its understated design would suit a wide range of settings and could be paired with either a plain or decorative insert or used with a fire basket.
