Antique Late Georgian Carrara Marble Fireplace Surround

An original late Georgian / early Victorian chimneypiece crafted from Italian Carrara marble.

The simple crossover form, with the lintel running cleanly across both jambs, is typical of the Georgian period and gives the piece a restrained architectural elegance.

Its understated design would suit a wide range of settings and could be paired with either a plain or decorative insert, or used with a fire basket.
