PRODUCT ID: ZAPPY
A finely carved fireplace surround in richly veined red Breche marble, distinguished by its elegant serpentine frieze with a central cartouche motif. The jambs are gently shaped and panelled to terminate to a substantial footblock.
A distinctive French design that emerged during the mid-18th century, named after Madame de Pompadour — a major patron of the decorative arts during the reign of Louis XV.
The warm tones of the marble are accentuated by delicate white and grey veining, lending depth to the piece.
