A very rare find, this Thomas Jeckyll cast iron fireplace insert is flanked with finely illustrated tiles attributed to William Morris.
Known for his exquisite metalwork Jeckyll’s designs are highly sought after by collectors. This magnificent piece showcases intricate floral motifs alongside his signature dragonfly, all on an interwoven geometric cast backdrop. The same florals can be seen on the rest of the mealwork.
The blue and white tiles depict graceful, feminine figures; they are bordered with dark green borders and floral tiles, all attributed to William Morris, making this a very special piece.
