PRODUCT ID: GATESHEAD
Distinctively Art Deco, these antique gates provide a feature entranceway.
The wrought iron pair are lavishly decorated with geometric form typical of the Art Deco movement. They are currently set to install on a pin hinge. The gates would make an impressive addition to an external or internal space.
The gates were reclaimed from Regis House, built in 1933, developed by renowned property developer Rudolph Palumbo. Regis House was a ground-breaking office building occupying the prestigious corner site next to Wren's "Monument" on the approaches to London Bridge. The exterior, lobbies and stairwells were lavishly decorated with polished iron and bronze details framed with Portoro marble pilasters. In the early 1990's the building was demolished under the orders of Lord Palumbo, Rudolph Palumbo's son.
