PRODUCT ID: PSB55
A magnificent example of the Art Deco movement, this original chimneypiece has been crafted from Portland stone and comes complete with marble insets.
The early 20th Century piece is formed with bolection moulding that sits upon simple block ends. The clean linear lines teamed with cushioned curves make the bolection a very attractive design that was typical of the period.
The addition of the two varieties of marble beautifully complements the English Portland Stone, the opening is framed with a chrome border. The green marble is most likely Connemara marble which is usually used as a stone within small pieces such as jewellery.
The simplicity of the bolection form allows the piece to work in a variety of interior spaces.
