Pair of Sphinx of Naxos Stautues from Movie Set Design Sculptures

A rare find, these giant sculptures are based on the Sphinx of Naxos.

The Greek Sphinx, a winged lion with the face of a human female, was considered as having ferocious strength, and was thought of as a guardian, often flanking the entrances to temples.

The very detailed and impressive pair resemble stone with rich patina but are formed from a polyresin and has the added benefit of being lightweight.
