A magnificent Baroque style fire surround in carved mahogany with marble slips. This ornate and elaborate chimneypiece features masked corbels with bell flower pendants on the front and side of both jambs and central radius top to the opening, flanked by beautiful curved scrolls and large breakfront shelf.
A fine example of Edwardian splender, removed from a prestigious house in Hampstead which was occupied by Sir Joseph Beecham. This surround was fitted in the ballroom, used to entertain members of High Society, including Edward VII.
