A very striking and fine fireplace carved from statuary marble.
The unusual chimneypiece has been very finely carved with ornate details from the floral motifs of the frieze that are echoed down the jambs to the sculptural corbels which support the shelf and offer an elegant female face and intricate detailing.
An outstanding example of opulent early Victorian design the piece would work well for those seeking a fireplace for a larger chimney breast.
