This original antique Victorian fireplace surround offers an excellent example of design and craftsmanship from the period.
This large and imposing feature chimneypiece has been crafted from enigmatic grey Italian Bardiligio Fiorito marble. Typical of the Victorian period the piece has a central curved corbel keystone.
The main body has decorative thumbnail carvings to accentuate and compliment the large arched opening.
A simple bevelled shelf completes the chimneypiece.
Bariliogo Fiorito, delivers a very striking and interesting veined marble from Serravezza, Carrara.
