The subtle, coarse grain and mellow honey hue of the Bath stone deliver a charming softness to the understated form.
The simple form of the "crossover" design (the lintel spans completely across the width of the surround resting upon each jamb) allows this simple yet stately Georgian surround to be a versatile chimneypiece for both modern and traditional settings.
Gently restored in-house the surround is ready for installation.
