Ornate Wooden Regency Style Fireplace Surround

A beautifully composed Regency-style fireplace surround, richly decorated with classical ornament and elegant proportions. Finished in a soft stone/ivory tone, the piece captures the refined neoclassical taste of the early 19th century.

The frieze is adorned with delicate floral swags and rosettes, centred beneath a finely detailed dentil moulded shelf. On each end block sits an oval medallion with a winged cherub, framed by ribbon and foliate detailing.
