Antique Georgian Carved Statuary Marble Chimneypiece | Neoclassical

An early 19th-century English mantelpiece with elegant form with exceptional carvings.

In Italian statuary marble with fluted jambs are headed by corner blocks carved with Greecian figures, a delicately carved neoclassical centre tablet depicts a female muse and putti messenger of the finest details.

The fine and well-executed piece has been gently restored and can be viewed at our Hertfordshire warehouse.
