An original early Edwardian fireplace surrounds crafted from black slate.
A very handsome antique fireplace with carved corbels with additional detailing to the lintel and jambs.
The use of slate is typical of the period as the black was used as a mark of respect to mourn the death of Queen Victoria.
The attractive chimneypiece offers an elegant and striking feature to an interior renovation.
