The attractive piece has a mild horseshoe shape to the arched opening which has a pretty cast motif patterned border. 

This cast iron insert delivers a very attractive addition to a chimneypiece with subtle ornate detailing to the backplate. 

The three-bar integral basket is also flanked by elegant scroll detailing to each side.

Due to the simple design, this insert offers an excellent option that would work in both a plain surround or one with more ornate carvings.
