A highly decorative Georgian cast iron hob grate, dating from the late 18th to early 19th century. The grate features an elegant hourglass form with finely cast flowing fluted decoration, highlighted by a central stylised floral rosette.
The restrained design is characteristic of the Georgian period, combining classical symmetry with refined ornamentation.
