The surround features deep relief carvings throughout, showcasing scrolling acanthus leaves, floral rosettes, and foliate motifs typical of the Rococo or Louis XV style. The central frieze is adorned with a large floral medallion framed by symmetrical flowing foliage, while the legs are decorated with cascading leaves and scrolls that extend down their length.
