PRODUCT ID: GRETA
A refined victorian marble fireplace surround of elegant neoclassical design, executed in white statuary marble with vivid Siena marble inlays.
The frieze is centred with a beautifully carved oval tablet framed by classical laurel swags — a motif strongly associated with the late 18th-century Adam taste. Flanking panels are delicately fluted, while the jambs are adorned with carved paterae above tapering reeded sections, terminating in substantial foot-blocks.
Elegant in proportion and architecturally composed, this surround has been gently restored at our Hertfordshire workshop and warehouse.
