Antique Georgian Carrara Marble Surround

A refined and beautifully proportioned antique Georgian fireplace surround, carved from Italian, Carrara marble with elegant grey veining throughout. Understated and architectural, this is a classic Georgian design that relies on proportion rather than heavy ornamentation.

The surround features a broad, flat frieze, simple panelled jambs, all typical of late-18th to early-19th-century Georgian work. 

The example shown is paired with a cast iron insert (available separately if required), but the surround itself would suit both period restorations and contemporary interiors where a restrained, classical fireplace is desired.
