An impressive example of late 19th century craftsmanship, this the Arts and Crafts chimneypiece is hand-carved from richly toned oak, it features deep-profile ornamentation throughout, including scrolling foliage, classical motifs, and intricate monograms at the centre and end.
The large and imposing piece has an arched opening that delivers strong architectural presence. The intertwined initials and heraldic-style detailing suggest it was a bespoke piece.
The surround has been photographed with BRIARDa large arts and crafts fire basket.
